MCTC Alumni Honored by Mayor

Bria Saunders, a track sprinter and field hockey athlete who just finished her sophomore year at Par High, was recognized for track accomplishments including earning spots on the All-State Second team, the All-Group team, the Group 2 First team and the All Morris team.

The incoming junior was also cited for winning the NJSIAA Group 2 100-meter and 200-meter dash championships, her second Group 2 North 2 state sectional 100-meter and 200-meter dash titles. The mayor also noted that as anchor of the school's 4x400-meter relay team, Saunders established a new Parsippany High School record. She also holds the school record for the 100-meter dash and was named Morris County Sprinter of the Year and 100-Meter Dash champion. Among other honors, she was also a member of the NJSIAA Small School Relay championship team.

Mayor Barberio said, "Bria Saunders represents ... the unwavering pride and spirit of the heartfelt Parsippany community."
